Privacy policy

Brain is a study workspace for university students. This policy explains what it stores, what it accesses in your Google account, and what it does not do. It applies to the app at cloudmanage.uk.
What Brain stores
- Your notes. Written as Markdown files in a folder in your own Google Drive. A working copy is also held on the server so your devices can sync quickly, and in your browser so the app works offline.
- Your calendar events. A copy of events from the Google calendars you choose to show, so they can be displayed and edited offline.
- Your account details. The email address, name and profile picture Google provides when you sign in.
- Your settings. Appearance, term dates, subjects and similar preferences.
- Access tokens. Encrypted at rest, used only for the Google API requests described below.
Google data, and why
userinfo.email,userinfo.profile— to sign you in and show who is signed in.drive.file— to create and update the note files and attachments Brain itself creates, and to read the individual files you select through Google's file picker. It does not grant access to anything else in your Drive.calendar,calendar.events— to read your calendars and write back the events you create or change in Brain.
Brain's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What Brain never does
- Sell or rent your data, or share it with data brokers.
- Show advertising, or profile you for it.
- Use your notes, files or calendar to train machine-learning models.
- Make your workspace visible to other users. Every account is private.
- Transfer your Google data to anyone else, except as required by law.
Where it is processed
The app runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 database. Your note files live in your own Google Drive. No other third party processes your content.
Deleting your data
Disconnecting Google in Settings stops all access immediately, as does revoking access at your Google account permissions page. To have the server-side copy of your workspace deleted entirely, email the address below. The Markdown files in your own Drive are yours and stay where they are.
